Hi and welcome to my blog Little Sloth. My name is Carlee and I started blogging when I was a freshman in college but I didn’t really find my blogging voice until January 2013 when I started my Etsy shop Little Sloth and changed my blog name to match it. Since then it has been Little Sloth all the way. If your wondering, the name Little Sloth is actually a nickname that Clark (my husband) gave me when we were in high school and just dating. We are high school sweethearts. :) I’d wish he had given me a better nickname, my shop and blog would have a better name. ;) Just kidding I love the nickname!
So like I said I am Carlee. I was born and raised in Washington State. I grew up on an apple farm and I have 6 brothers. (Those are my 2 fun facts whenever having to introduce myself haha). After high school I attended the University of Washington in Seattle where I studied the Swedish language and Photography. Clark and I got married in July of 2013 and then I moved to North Carolina where he was stationed, he is in the US military and now we are currently stationed in Naples, Italy! I love to travel and have always wanted to see the world and now I am having the opportunity to do that. So far I have visited, London, southern England, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Gibraltar, and all over Italy!
Traveling to Italy and want some ideas? Check out my Italy posts here.

What type of camera do you use for your photos?
I use a Nikon D5000 for all of the photography post and almost all of the outfit post. Some of the photos on here are just iPhone photos. I am very impressed by how good iPhone photos are sometimes. Then I edit most/all of my photos in Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Who takes your photos?
It used to be that I would do them myself with a tripod and remote but now the majority of my outfit post are taken my Clark. And any other photo you see on the blog that isn’t an outfit post was taken by me.
I really like photographing people. People are so interesting! So my family and myself (outfit post.) I have also taken up a great love for photographing food. I think it is really fun to make a recipe get a 'set' setup to photograph the food in. Make it look beautiful and appetizing.
Is your hair naturally curly and naturally blonde?
Yes and yes. I used to have bleach blonde highlights in my hair when I was in high school. But I stopped doing that a few years ago and now my hair is its natural color. I have fought with my hair every sense I can remember but I am pretty content with it now.
He is a Golden Doodle and Chow mix. A "Choodle" is what they call it I believe. His father is a Golden Doodle and his mother was a Golden Retriever and a Chow mix. We actually got to meet both the mom and dad as it was a family that breed there two adult dogs, we were really lucky he came from a good environment.
What advice would you give yourself when you first started blogging?
I would tell myself to produce good quality content always. Have a clean pretty blog design that is pleasing to the eye and looks like you care about your blog and reflects your personality. Connect with other blogs: leave meaningful comments not just the lets follower each other? comment, join blog hops, and over all just be yourself. Also it takes time to grow a real readership.
If you have any questions about me or just want to get to know me. Email me or comment.
love, Carlee
