How I made mine
-I used a regular white t-shirt and cut it into my desired tank top.
-I used painters tape to mark where the lines would go and where the stars would be
-I cut out star shapes
-I painted the red stripes first, I didn't fill them in all the way either. It gives it a rough look.
-Then I taped the starts down to my desire and painted navy blue around them (be careful they don't move)
-Then I let dry
-And I took of the tape. Poof. American Flag tank top.
Cautions
-I used regular acrylic paint so I will have to be extra careful washing it. I didn't have fabric paint laying around or I would have used that.
I absolutely love how it turned out. I don't think it could have gone any better. I am now looking into other patterns I can paint onto tank tops or t-shirts. I also want to do America Flag shorts. I am totally inspired by something I did myself. So if you have a regular white shirt laying around and what to do something cute with it. Try this.
Got any great DIY projects, I would love to check them out.
