Loup Loup Ski Bowl

When Clark and I were in Washington for a couple of weeks celebrating Christmas with our families. Clark and his mom when to the coast to see some of his extended family. And while I could have gone I decided that I wanted to stay in my hometown and spend more quality time with my family since I only get to see them once a year. So my little brother and I went skiing at the Loup Loup Ski Bowl. That is actually where I learned to ski when I was a kid and the ski hill that I have always skied at. It is only 45 minutes from my hometown so it was always the one we went to.
I hadn’t been skiing in 2 years but it is like they say skiing is like riding a bike you never forget it. Well except on the second turn when my skis crossed in the back and I fell face first into the snow. Luckily I was okay and I look up to see my little brother laughing and I yell “Help me” because one of my skis came up off the hill and out of reach. Thankfully that was the worst of it. Also my legs were SO SORE. Not even the day after but during skiing I could feel the burn. But I pushed though it with only a little whiny and some much needed breaks on the hill haha.
We had a good time though and I was glad that we got to do something that was just the two of us. My little brother also told me he was proud of me for how I skied. I guess he must of forgot that first fall. haha.

Now I am binge watching Friends while getting caught up on shop orders.

Holiday in Washington State recap

Hey guys I am back in North Carolina and I can honestly say that I am happy to be back and getting back to a schedule. Also I missed my dog. But Washington was so fun and I forgot how beautiful it really is there. #northwestisbest amiright? Clark and I spent the whole time celebrating the holidays with our families, doing fun stuff like going skiing and to the casino. I didn’t take a single outfit post while in WA and I am okay with that. Mostly because at the beginning on the trip I was too busy enjoying family time and by the end of the trip I was living in yoga pants and t-shirts! So I just wanted to share some of my favorite photos from our holiday in Washington.
We had three big get togethers at my Dad’s house over the course of our 12 day stay. One Christmas night with my Dad’s side of the family and Clark’s Mom and sister. And then a party on the weekend with all my family, Clark’s family, extended aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. And then NYE was pretty low key but our families got together again and we played Last Word and Charades (so funny.) I am so thankful that all our families get along and that the most drama we had was my older brothers getting a little to drunk.
Fun Facts:
-The tree my Mom’s family got this year was a blue spruce and it was awesome! I loved it.
-I helped my brother who is in 7th grade write a book report.
-I won $55 dollars at the casino and $10 on a lotto scratch ticket I got in my stocking
-I got the flu the night before we flew to WA and I was miserable the whole drive to the airport and the flight.
-I went through my grandma’s house and got some super rad antiques and her wedding dress!
-I won the game CLUE twice while home.
-My mom and I made Christmas candy and added Oreo truffles for the first time this year!
- I took school photos of my little brother and they turned out really great.
- We got to meet my older brothers new girlfriend.
-Clark’s sister turned 21

It was a great time and we had a blast!

This year has been really great and I am very thankful for how fortunate I have been in 2014. I am hoping for just as good fortunate in the New Year and hoping to accomplish more goals and dreams in 2015. Once I am back home and get the opportunity to relax a little bit this weekend. I am hoping to reflect on the past year and make some goals and plans for the new year that are concrete and can be written down. That’s the goal. I always have lots of dreams floating around in my mind haha. Anyways Happy New Year and I will be back next week or maybe this weekend posting about my travel to Washington State and also a reflection on my 365 project from 2014.
