Outer Banks Beaches

These photos are all from our New Years trip but some photos were taken right outside our hotel in Nags Head and some were taken on our drive down the coast. I wanted to share them all at this time since both sets of photos fall into the Outer Banks Beaches category. These are actually my favorite photos from our trip. Even though I love see land marks like the Bodie Island Lighthouse, I just love the fresh and free feel these photos have. Like we don't have a care in the world. That was my favorite part of the trip. Just running around on the beach, exploring and adventuring.
We had fun combing the beach for unique sea shells but mostly running around with Knox. Knox loved the sand and getting to run free on most of the beaches. Since it was off season he was allowed to be off his lease on the beach in front of our hotel. We kept him on his lease everywhere else we went just in case.
After our drive down the coast we went back to the hotel and cleaned off and relaxed for a bit and we might have took a nap before we went out for a nice dinner. I knew I would need a nap if I was wanting to make it until midnight and enjoy 2014 at the very start. After dinner we headed back to the hotel and relaxed some more. We ate cheese and drank sparkling cider and watched fireworks on the beach. We learned that Knox is terrified of fireworks which is understandable since he is a dog and they are really loud! We rang in the New Year in our hotel room while watching the ball drop on ABC it was great. I couldn't have asked for a better New Years Eve.
