Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love chocolate chip cookies. I also love this recipe that I have come up with from dozens of other recipes combined. This recipe makes about 24 cookies which I think it the perfect amount. I have made some cookie recipes that make over 48 cookies. Who needs that many cookies laying around. Unless you are hosting a party of course. If that is the case just double this recipe and get the same results. Now for my amazing directions.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 eggs
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Put in all the ingredients in the order listed in a large bowl and mix on low-med speed. 3. Once all ingredients are mixed in drop large spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. 4. Bake for about 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

I am actually in the process of coming up with a new chocolate chip cookie recipe! They are just so yummy.
Enjoy the recipe!

Wedding// Bridal Shower

On Friday over the long Memorial Day weekend, my mom threw me a Bridal Shower! It was so much fun we played games and ate pie and I opened presents. It is nice to have people who love and support you in your journey! Some of my best friends were there and some couldn't make it. My mom, grandma's, aunts, stepmom, Clark's mom, made it and it was just a really good time.
One thing we did that was really funny was all the guests "wrote" vows for Clark and I. And I read them out loud once everyone had written something. It was super cute and sweet and really funny! Anyways I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Ask me anything you wish!

I figured I would open the floor to my readers. You have the opportunity to ask me anything you wish to know. It could be about school, my relationship, being a military girlfriend/fiancé, ...etc. Whatever you wish.

I am also excited to be on the home stretch of this school year. I still have 3 more weeks but that isn't so bad when I think about it in the bigger picture. I am excited to get re-inspired with outfits, recipes, DIYs, and photography. I already have some fun post planned so I am excited to get those going. In the meantime feel free to question away.

Fabric flower pots// diy

I think most of you will remember seeing a few pins on Pinterest last spring about fabric flower pots. I have been wanting to try this diy for a while now and I thought it was a great time too. Since I am getting married I have been thinking a lot about the way I want to decorate my first real place. That is why I choose this pattern and colors, I think they will go great inside a new bright home.
You'll need
-Tacky Glue
-Fabric of your choice (I bought a pack of 2 different fabrics from Walmart at 1 yard each.)
-Pots (I like using different sizes)
-Scissors
-Black Plastic Lining (If you want to use for planting flowers)
1. Test out your fabric and roll around pot so you know you'll have enough to cover the whole thing. and no inside the top a bit. 2. Section by section put tacky glue on the pot with a paint brush and then place the fabric over. 3. Do until the outside sides are completed and smooth out any bumps. 4. Again section by section put glue on the inside of the pot and fold the fabric down inside the pot. 5. Cut circles of the plastic black liner to put into pot. (This is only if you want to plant flowers in them) Obviously I haven't done that yet but I think I will. 6. Enjoy your pretty creation.

In red

I think this outfit would be a perfect interview outfit if only the skirt was a little longer. I do like how the shirt it longer and gives the outfit a little bit more attitude. Anyways have a happy Friday. I will be watching baseball this week and celebrating my roommates birthday which is today. Yay for fun weekends!

Shrimp Dip

Another super easy recipe coming your way. This Shrimp Dip is to die for. My mom originally taught me how to make it and I love it. Very addicting as well so beware.
You'll need:
1/2 cooked shrimp
1 bunch of onions (finely chopped)
2- 8oz blocks of cream cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup cocktail sauce
1 can of crab meat.
Mix cream cheese, mayo, cocktail sauce well first. Until blended and smooth. Then add the shrimp, onions, and crab. And enjoy! Serve with crackers.

A purple lilac bush

These photos are mostly just to show case this wonderful dress. I have worn it a few times but I realize I haven't featured it here on the blog. So I thought it was about time I did. I bought this dress from Forever 21 back in November before I went down to Georgia to see Clark for Thanksgiving. I wanted something to wear out on a nice and classy date night. This was the perfect dress. It is super comfy and also flattering. Anyways I am just enjoying all the blossoms and pretty smells of the spring time while finishing out my sophomore year here at the University of Washington. Enjoy a new beautiful day.

Everyday Cooking: Taco Salad

A new feature is arising and it is something I am really excited about. On my blog, I do share my fair amount of recipes. I was thinking that it would be fun to also start sharing regular everyday meals with you all. I have a feeling this feature will be super fun once I am married and cooking for two on a regular basics. Also most of the food you see here won't need an explanation like Taco Salad. This is just to give you all a glimpse inside what I am cooking and what I am eating. Enjoy.

Taco Salad:

Happy cooking and happy Monday.
