L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele

Over the weekend, we visited the best pizza place in Naples, L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele! They say that Italy has the best pizza in the world and that Naples has the best pizza in Italy and if this place has the best pizza in Naples then this pizza must be the best pizza in the world right. (Should be noted that some people say Sorbillo is the best pizza in Naples which we will definitely be trying) It was really good. The ingredients were so fresh and the tomato sauce on the pizza tasted SO DELICIOUS. There are only 2 types of pizza here. Margherita and Marinara. They are each 4 euro. This place is just a little hole in the wall place and is open from 11am-11pm Mon-Sat, Sunday they are closed. I have heard that sometimes people wait for up to 2 hours to get into eat at this pizzeria. So I wanted to make sure we went early and didn't wait forever. So we arrived just about 5 minutes before 11 and they were already seating people and serving. We didn't have to wait at all and got a table right away. It was perfect.

They just continually make pizza and since they are only serving the two types, they are always fresh and come out super fast. We each got a Margherita pizza and split a Coke and it was 10 euro. So cheap and so good. After we ate we cleared out and made room for the other people coming in. The place was full the whole time we were there and it seemed like a unsaid but understood rule that when you are done you get up and leave so others can enjoy the same experience. This is the place that Julia Roberts character ate in Eat, Pray, Love hence the photo right behind my head. 

After we walked around a little bit. Napoli is so colorful and vibrate. It is really a unique city. I am so happy to be back here and excited that I get to explore again. Although the exploring is just a lot slower these days haha. After a while we made our way back to the car and were hoping that it wasn't towed. It wasn't haha. It was a lovely midday adventure in the city.
