Blog of the winter: A girl named Nydia.

I always get excited when it turns a new season and I get search through my favorite bloggers to figure out who I want to feature. This season I have decided to feature Nydia from the blog A girl named Nydia! I love her style, she always wears the cutest outfits with great color throughout! 

When and why did you start your blog A girl named Nydia?

It all started when I did a style profile at Chictopia, known as Little_Island (Here is the link for anyone interested to visit: www.chictopia.com/Little_Island) As time past, my outfit diary began to evolve and I started to contemplate the idea of creating a blog. But it was not until September 2011 that I joined the world of bloggers and A girl named Nydia was created.

Tell us more about yourself and your blog?

I'm 25 years old from the beautiful tropical Island of Puerto Rico. I work as a part time engagement and wedding photographer. (this is the link to my photography work: www.photosbynm.blogspot.com) I see the ocean everyday, I have an obsession with sweets and pastas, and I never get tired of listening to Paramore or Frank Sinatra :)

My blog is a way to share my style and inspire others with outfits that are affordable and wearable! It's basically the place where I share my inspirations and small adventures :)

How would you describe your personal style?

I found it difficult to find a particular word to describe my style. I think girly, wearable and fun sums it all. I absolutely love color, I always try to wear a bit of brightness  in my outfits. Mixing prints, textures are my favorite! But I will wear what makes me feel myself!

Who takes your outfit photos and what type of camera do you use?

I use a Canon 7d for my blog and outfit photos! If Jayson isn't around to take my pictures, his sister Dacil is always happy and willing to take them, she loves photography! 

What do you do in your free time?

I love spending time with my husband Jayson & my family. Specially playing with my nephew Sebastian.  I also enjoy reading. I have a small bookshelf full of my favorite books: The Hunger Games, Shadow of the Wind, The Guardian, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.... I hope to read as many books that I can! I also enjoy watching my favorite series & movies. Shopping (obviously! :D) blogging & traveling!

What are some of your dreams and goals for the future?

Professionally,I hope to become a better photographer! Gain more experience in what I love to do.I would also love to learn videography! In my personal life I would like to keep enjoying life in the simple & beautiful things! And I'm also planning to travel this year somewhere new & exciting! 

I see you recently got married. Can you tell us more about the lucky guy?

My husband, Jayson and I have been friends since 2007, but became official in 2010!  Jay (like I call him) is studying to become a Speech Therapist. He makes me laugh on a daily basis, his heart is noble and kind. He's just perfect for me! And in December 15th (our wedding day) he made me the happiest girl on eart! 

Do you have any advice for new blogger?

Don't be afraid to be yourself and share your ideas with the world! Blogging is a great way to meet new people and gain new experiences... so blog away! :)
