Army family

People say if you marry someone in the military you are also marrying the military. I can definitely imagine this to be true and I am just a military fiance;) While over the break I took some photos of Clark and his family in Army shirts that Clark had brought back with him for Christmas break. I know we are already in January but I just thought these photos were to good not to share. His mom specifically wanted me to take these photos. I think they turned out great and this was the first time I used my new 35mm f/1.8 lens I got for Christmas and I love it, just saying.  His sister grabbed the camera and snapped a couple of us like the first one you see before.

Have a great Thursday. Yay for it almost being Friday.
love, Carlee

  5. I am a Navy wife. It's tough and I knew it going in. Don't get me wrong though, I have had the time of my life, gotten to live in Hawaii for 3 years and learned what being prepared for anything really means.

My husband just deployed for the first time this past weekend. It has been so-so for me. I emphasize the "for me" part, as it is totally different for everyone when it comes to deployments. I didn't get emotional when I dropped him off the day of, but last night was a very hard night, and there are just times when it seems to come out of nowhere and last only a few minutes. We too, were apart from each other in the beginning, but it is definitely not the same as being apart from deployment.

These are just things I wish people had told me. But the life will definitely open up a new world to you!

  9. These pics are so sweet! And by the way, the AE boots ARE a little narrow but luckily I have pretty narrow feet anyway so they fit ok. I was surprised by that though.
