Boating the Amalfi Coast

The last weekend of June, Clark and I along with a bunch of friends went boating along the Amalfi Coast. We had a great long day out in the sun. We swam and floated around on blow up swans and ducks haha. The water was so blue and felt really nice. It was a little cold at first but you got used to it really quick.

We stopped in Amalfi for lunch and had some of the best pizza we’ve had here in Italy. I think it’s #2 on my list after Gino Sorbillo. The restaurant is called Da Maria and they also had good pasta and appetizers etc. It is tucked away a little bit up the street, it is not one of the main ones in the square. After lunch we of course had to get gelato and I got the flavors Amalfi and Bacia which were both great. Although my small cone was 5euro (way too much) but Amalfi is a tourist destination so shops can get away with charging that. In Naples it would have been like 2.50 max. Oh well haha. When ice cream is involved I’m basically like take all my money.

After lunch it was back to the boat. We stopped and swam again. We anchored at this one location and we all swam to shore and jumped off some cliffs that had stairs and a ladder attached so it was easy to access and climb up and down. We are lucky to have a good group of friends.

I also brought my dslr camera and the waterproof bag for it that my dad got me for Christmas. The bag is this one. I had tested the bag out at home first and this was my first time using it in the sea and it worked great. I still have to get used to shooting with it in water and you basically shoot blind but it was still fun to try out and I think I got some cool shots. I am excited to try it out more this summer. Update: I lost one of the hooks so it doesn't latch properly. I only got to use it once before I lost it! :( Gahhhhhhh
