’Tis the season

Finally! So the holiday season has officially begun. I know people can decorate whenever or start celebrating whenever. But for me, the end of Thanksgiving marks the start of the holiday season and I think I am in the majority when feeling that way. My family never put up a Christmas tree before Thanksgiving ever... and my Dad would always want to hold off as long as possible. Clark and I went to a xmas tree lot to get our Christmas tree on Friday. First we headed to downtown Fayetteville to enjoy the Christmas festivities. The whole community comes together and does Dicken’s Christmas. I shared photos last year from it.
After downtown we headed to the Christmas tree lot and searched for the perfect Christmas tree. It didn’t take us long to find it and it only cost $26. We argued for a while about what Christmas tree stand to get. I didn’t think it made since to get a stand that cost $49.99 we ended up getting one for $9.99 and it works perfectly. We brought the tree home and started decorating immediately. We will only have 3 weeks to enjoy our Christmas tree and home before we head back to WA for family Christmas festivities. Which I am super excited about. But it is also nice to celebrate the holidays with my husband and Knox.
Knox isn’t to sure about the tree. He has been good and not really bothering it but his nose will get to going and he’ll be stiffing away at the tree. So knock on wood that he behaves for the next 3 weeks while the tree is up and we are home. The majority of the tree is decorated with souvenior ornaments we have gotten from places that we have traveled this year and last. Like Myrtle Beach, Charleston SC, New York, Las Vegas, Florida, Gettysburg PA, Duke, Kitty Hawk, etc. And other than that most of the ornaments are handmade from last year.
