Cameo Art House Theatre

On Saturday afternoon, Clark and I headed downtown to watch a movie at the Cameo Art House Theatre. It is right next to Rude Awakening our favorite little downtown coffee house and it has the coolest signage and lights but I never really knew what went on there. I thought maybe plays and special events. But one day last week I decided to google Cameo Theater and realized they show movie throughout the week. The movies are more indie non main steam films but they still are really good films this past weekend they were showing Wish I Was Here, A Most Wanted Man, and Begin Again. All with big name actors and actresses just more indieish films. We saw Begin Again with Keira Knightly, Adam Levine, and Mark Ruffalo.
We went to the movie at 4pm since it had already been playing for a week it was only showing at one time in the upstairs theater. The price of the tickets are only a dollar more than our regular movie theater and they even had a military discount (which we forgot to use). They also had a great candy and drink selection. I took so long deciding that we had to let people go in front of us. They had ‘designer’ candy and also the good ol’ regular stuff like Twix and M&Ms and they also serve beer and wine. So basically it’s super cool. Once we made our way up to the theater our movie was begin shown in, I was pleasantly surprised. It was so nice. The seats were big, really cushy, and seamed practically new. Way better then the usual theaters we go to in town.
Clark and I were both really impressed with the theater and the people that worked there were super nice. I even told Clark that when he deploys I would totally feel comfortable going to a movie here alone. Going to a movie alone seems more comfortable in a low key local environment and not a big theater where you know every one is in a couple or a group. The movie we saw was Begin Again like I said above and I would definitely recommend see it. It was really cute and just a nice feel-good movie. I really liked it and even Clark thought it was good. If your ever in Fayetteville and looking to see a movie I would recommend going to the Cameo Art House Theatre. Their website has the movies and times for the upcoming showings.

Tomorrow I will be sharing the recipe for the doggie cupcakes that I made Knox for his bday!
