My trip across the country

With Santa in Santa Claus Indiana. Scary wax statue at Wall Drug SD, Sturgis SD, and a giant cow in 'I don't remember where.'
I realized that I have never shared photos or my story of my trip across the country. I moved from Washington State to North Carolina after I got married in July.

It actually took a while to decide how I was going to get across the country. My parents were definitely worried about my trip which is totally understandable. My dad wanted me just to fly and have my stuff shipped back to the east coast. But of course, I wanted to drive! I mean how often do you get the opportunity to drive all the way across the country!! So it did take a little convincing to get my parents to get on board.
Gateway Arch in St. Louis MO!
Mississippi River
I first asked one of my best friends since I was a little girl and she was also one of my bridesmaids to come along with me. Once she was on board for sure I knew it was going to be a good trip.

We left 4 days after my wedding. Clark had to fly back a couple days before that and I needed to stay in Washington to get my name changed on my drivers lisencs. So we left on Tuesday July 9th and planned on getting into Fayetteville NC on Saturday the 13th. We stayed to our plan and it was a wonderful trip.
Map of our route.
The first night we stayed in Billings MT, the second night we stayed in Sioux Falls SD, the third night we stayed in St. Louis MO, and the fourth night we stayed in Charleston WV. By far my favorite place was St. Louis MO. I had never been and it was just awesome. I think it is a must see place in the USA. I loved the gateway arch and sticking my toes in the Mississippi River. We also stopped by Wall Drug, Sturgis, and the Corn Palace in South Dakota, got our picture taken with Santa in Santa Claus, Indiana, ate the best burgers at Bluegrass Burgers in Louisville KY,  and of course stopped at every state sign we could to take a photo.

It was a great trip. If you follow me on instagram you already saw a lot of photos from the trip but here are a few new ones. Also if you don't follow me on instagram below are some from the trip.
